1964 born in Hof/Saale, Germany 1983-1987 Studies at the University of Ratisbon: Classical Philology, Classical Archaeology, Prehistory 1984 Graecum 1985-1992 Employed at the German State Office of Preservation and Conservation of Monuments and Historic Buildings (Munich and Ratisbon); Building Archaeology Projects 1987 Studies at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg 1989-1992 Employed at Architectural Offices focussing on Planning in Historical Building Context, Munich and Ratisbon 1992 Graduation as Magister Artium (Mag.Art.) at the Otto-Friedrich Universität, Bamberg in the following disciplines: History of Architecture and Building Archaeology, Archaeology of the Middle Ages and Industrial Archaeology, Classical Archaeology, History of the Antiquity as well as Prehistory 1992/1993: Archaeological internship in Santo Stefano Rotondo, Rome (Building Archeology, Research Project of University of Münster, Germany; German Institute of Archaeology, Rome) 1993-95 Research student at the Max-Planck-Institute, Research Dpt.
