Partnership ICOMOS & Research Unit History of Architecture and Building Archaeology

The Austrian National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites, ICOMOS Austria (International Council on Monuments and Sites), has been based at Karlsplatz, at the Research Unit of History of Architecture and Building Archaeology at TU Wien, since 2018. The president, Ao.Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Caroline Jäger-Klein, teaches in the research area herself, with a focus on “Austrian architectural history of the 19th and 20th centuries”. In terms of personnel and also thematically, this is a sign of lively and fruitful cooperation between the institutions.
